For the past thirteen years the Sydney Institute of Professional Studies (SIPS) has been assisting people advance their occupational ambitions through professional development programs in the fields of business and government.    Our training and assessment programs are specifically designed for currently employed people and as such take into account a level of assumed knowledge on workplace and organisational processes.  In this regard our programs are less suitable for school-leavers or people relatively new to the workplace who may find courses conducted by TAFE or University more compatible with their learning needs.  

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO: 90831) with the Australian Quality Skills Authority (AQSA) we are authorised to issue specific qualifications from the Public Services training package (PSP04) and the Business Services training package (BSB07).   These qualifications are nationally recognised at the level of Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma and accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Both our accredited qualifications and professional courses are frequently delivered internally for a wide range of government departments and large private sector corporations providing assurance to students that any qualifications or professional certificates awarded by SIPS will be recognised for their integrity and be a valuable addition to any professional resume.

Whilst we assess our students for competency we require our teaching staff to be experts.   In this regard all trainers and assessors have been assessed as competent in the relevant units and have extensive relevant operational experience.    In addition all course coordinators have undergraduate and postgraduate degree qualifications together with lecturing experience at a University level to ensure course content and delivery is of a sufficient academic quality and meets higher education learning principles.
