OVERVIEW

The Advanced Certificate in Fraud Control will develop and consolidate skills in the detection, investigation, risk assessment and prevention of fraud.  Delivered through a 2-day competency based workshop it consists of the following modules:

§  Anticipating and detecting fraud

§  Fraud investigation strategies

§  Conducting fraud risk assessments

§  Implementing fraud control activities

* People who have received other Diploma of Government qualifications may also be eligible for this option depending on the units completed in their previous qualification.

WHO SHOULD DO THIS COURSE?

People who as part of their work role are involved in the management of finance, procurement, employee conduct, compliance and similar areas will benefit from this course. This may include:

§  Auditors, inspectors and financial controllers

§  Employees who manage/supervise a budget

§  Fraud and/or misconduct investigators

§  Regulatory compliance officers

§  Corruption prevention officers/managers

§  Claims/benefits/payments/purchasing staff

§  Project and risk managers/consultants

This course is also a full module in the Diploma of Government (Fraud Control)

RECOGNITION & ACCREDITATION           

The full program includes the 2-day workshop and an optional post-workshop project. Completion of the workshop is recognised by the Advanced Certificate in Fraud Control.  Participants who successfully complete the full program also receive a Statement of Attainment certifying them as competent in four (4) specific units that articulate directly as credit towards the Diploma of Government (Fraud Control). 

FEES (GST-free)

Standard Rate:        $990 

Corporate Rate:       $890 (for 3 or more on the same workshop)

Commercial Rate:    $850 (for 5 or more on the same workshop)

SPECIAL NOTE:   People who have previously completed a Diploma of Government (Investigation) and are seeking to complete this course to receive the Diploma of Government (Fraud Control) will not be charged any additional fees if the Diploma of Government (Investigation) was completed with the Sydney Institute of Professional Studies.  For people who have completed a Diploma of Government (Investigation) with another RTO an additional RPL fee of $590 will apply to also receive the Diploma of Government (Fraud Control).

The course may be tailored for internal delivery for groups of eight (8) or more people from the one workplace.  Fee discounts apply for in-house workshops with groups of ten (10) or more.
