ADVANCED DIPLOMA OF GOVERNMENT (MANAGEMENT)

OVERVIEW

The Advanced Diploma of Government (Management) – PSP60504 - is a nationally recognised qualification accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).  There are fifteen units covering the competencies required by those responsible for the management of a specialist function within the public sector.   Currently we only provide this qualification through distance learning or RPL. 

People wishing to complete all of this qualification through RPL should review the Recognition of Certified Competency Program.

WHO SHOULD DO THIS PROGRAM?

This program is designed specifically for people currently working as a specialist manager in a public sector environment as it takes into account relevant current knowledge, skills and experiences from the workplace.   

STRUCTURE

This program involves the completion of four modules that cluster together units of a similar theme for both general and specialised work functions within the public sector.   There are four modules, three of which are compulsory and one elective may be chosen from four different specialised streams:

• Public Sector Governance

• Public Sector Operations Management

• Public Sector Strategic Management

• Elective Specialist Stream (One only of:  General Management or Investigation Management or Fraud Control Management or Compliance Management)

On successful completion of all four modules participants are awarded the qualification.   

FEES

The full fees for this course when completed by distance learning is $2690.  This fee is GST-free.

This is paid through an initial payment of $1000 on commencement and a further payment of $1000 following completion of the the first two modules and prior to commencement of the final two modules and a final payment of $690 on completion of the course but prior to issuance of the qualification.  The full fee is not able to be paid in advance.
