CERTIFICATE IN INVESTIGATIONS REPORT WRITING

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program is a short 1-day competency based training course that will develop the knowledge and skills required to report the results of an investigation.
Outcomes include being able to:
Understand applicable issues of procedural fairness
Communicate in writing investigation activities and evidence
Articulate and explain the investigation findings
Make recommendations for adjudication and/or improvement
WHO SHOULD DO THIS COURSE?
The course is relevant for people who need to report on the results of investigations into allegations or complaints and also for people who conduct investigations into incidents for the purpose of system improvement. It will be particularly beneficial for people who as part of their duties undertake the following functions:
Regulatory Investigations
Workplace Misconduct Investigations
Incident/accident Investigations
Inspections and/or audits
Adjudication of complaints or allegations
Legal or policy advice
RECOGNITION & ACCREDITATION
Participants may complete a post-workshop project demonstrating the ability to replicate taught processes to the workplace which will be recognised through a Certificate of Proficiency in Investigations Report Writing. In addition successful completion of the workshop and a post-workshop project will be recognised through an accredited Statement of Attainment in the unit of competency PSPREG419A (Finalise and Report on Investigations). This course is a module in the Certificate IV in Government (Investigation) and a partial module in the Diploma of Government (Investigation)
FEES
Fees for enrolment in the workshop are: Standard rate: $590 (GST-exempt) Corporate rate: $550 (GST-exempt) Commercial Rate: $490 (GST-exempt)
Fees include all course materials together with workshop lunch, morning and afternoon tea. Corporate rate applies when three (3) or more people from the same organisation registers for the same workshop. Commercial rate applies when five (5) or more people from the same organisation register for the same workshop.
IN-HOUSE DELIVERY
This course may be delivered in-house for groups of ten (10) of more from the same workplace at a reduced rate of $490 (GST-exempt) per person using case studies specific to the workplace. Travel costs will apply for workshops delivered outside the Sydney area.
